According to the National Weather Service, Keene has recorded its highest snowfall in five years during the current winter season. From October 1 until April 7, the total accumulation reached 61 inches, surpassing the previous winter’s total of 60.5 inches.
The recent snowfall of 1.5 inches contributed to this extensive total, marking a significant weather event for the region. The average snowfall for Keene typically hovers around 58.5 inches, making this year's measurements slightly above the norm. The winter season generally concludes at the end of April, leaving room for possible additional snowfall before the season officially wraps up.
