Leaping Bear Farm in Reading has begun a voluntary recall of all eggs with dates from June 1 through September 5. The Department of Health said the outbreak has been tied to 14 illnesses in Vermont, with additional cases identified outside the state.
Officials said the recalled eggs should not be composted and instead should be thrown away in the trash. Sales at the farm remain on hold until state inspectors determine it is safe to resume operations.
